About Rosen Advisory Group

Rosen Advisory Group helps founder-led and investor-backed companies bring clarity, discipline, and predictability to revenue at moments of change.

We focus on designing and reinforcing the revenue operating systems a real CRO would build, without selling time-based service, interim executive coverage, or open-ended consulting. Our engagements are finite, outcome driven, and structured for independence.

About Michael

I’m a senior executive with experience building and scaling organizations across media, technology, and mission-driven environments. I work where strategy, operations, and people need to align, helping leadership teams translate ambition into durable execution.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve held senior revenue, marketing, and operating roles across public companies, mid-stage organizations, and early-stage ventures, including Intersection, Foursquare, First Look Media, AT&T, WeatherBug, and Bloomberg.

My work has focused on building operating systems, strengthening teams, and creating clarity at moments when growth or complexity begins to outpace structure.

Leadership approach

My leadership approach emphasizes clear expectations, shared ownership, and accountability. Strong performance follows when teams understand how decisions are made and what outcomes matter.

That philosophy informs how Rosen Advisory works with teams: systems are installed so they can be run confidently without ongoing external support.

Operating roles and advisory remits

My perspective is shaped by both direct operating accountability and targeted advisory work where the throughline has been consistent: bringing clarity where growth outpaced structure and helping leadership teams build systems that endure.

Many of the advisory engagements and operating roles that inform Rosen Advisory Group’s current offerings involved revenue-oriented remits for organizations such as Modus, OAAA, Shamrock Capital, Adweek, and Elements of Us.

Over time, patterns across that work, combined with full-time operating roles in founder-led companies, made it clear that what organizations needed most was not ongoing consulting or permanent CRO leadership, but a clear revenue operating system they could run themselves. Rosen Advisory was created to deliver that outcome directly.

Governance and nonprofit leadership

Alongside my commercial work, I’m actively engaged in nonprofit and mission-driven leadership, serving in board and advisory roles that emphasize governance, stewardship, and long-term accountability.

This includes serving as a board director and advancement chair for The New York Pops, co-chairing the Marketing, Media & Tech Council and serving on the Brooklyn Advisory for UJA-Federation of New York, and participating on the Media Advisory Board for Sandy Hook Promise.

These roles reinforce the same principles that guide Rosen Advisory’s work: clear ownership, disciplined decision-making, and leadership accountability in environments where trust and impact matter.
